Miss Fisher's MODern Mysteries

A Miss Fisher spin off is currently in production and set to hit our screens on Seven next year. The series, Miss Fisher's MODern Mysteries is set in 1964 and stars Geraldine Hakewill  as the protagonist Miss Fisher’s niece Peregrine Fisher, who inherits a windfall when the famous aunt she never knew goes missing over the highlands of New Guinea.

Peregrine must prove herself brilliant enough to become a world class private detective in her own right. The casting is yet to be revealed.

Joining Hawewill is Joel Jackson (Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door, Deadline Gallipoli) who plays Detective James Steed – described as a “smart, ambitious cop”. Rounding out the core cast is Catherine McClements (Wentworth), as Birdie – who is keen that her missing friend’s legacy lives on.

Julie McGauran, Seven's head of drama, described the show as 'very sexy and cheeky', adding, 'It’s going to be fantastic.'
